Business Services -Technology
The Business and Technical Careers program (B-TECH), led by South Seattle Community College, is a ground-breaking planning and development effort which will standardize and provide access to business technology education for low-income students throughout the King County community college system. This ambitious effort aims to develop a system changing set of processes designed to reinvent the way traditional community and technical colleges offer and deliver programs. The combination of hybrid and online delivery as well as weekend and evening programs will help existing employees and job seekers advance to higher paying jobs.
The first cohort of students enrolled in fall, 2011. Cohorts receive an Attainment Fund allocation for eligible students, giving SkillUp the ability to learn how the fund can be coordinated across multiple colleges to support and enhance this new program.
Other key partners include North Seattle Community College and Central Community College. Seattle Jobs Initiative is an integral part of our employer engagement efforts.
